Look for Hand-Selected, Carefully Curated Stones From Around The Globe

With lifestyle brands and customized services dominating the way consumers make purchases in today’s economy, your diamond buying experience should be no different.  Expect the best – and you’ll get it – especially when you work with established diamond specialists.  You’ll know them right away because they’ll be more concerned with helping their customers to appreciate the artistry and beauty of diamond design than in racking up a sale at any cost.

For a premium shopping experience with fine jewelry prices affordable to every budget, consider visiting the diamond experts at the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City. Led by Diamantaire and designer Johnny N, the store’s team offers clients a diamond viewing and buying experience that’s more like a guided tour through a diamond gallery than a stop at your typical retail store.

Located in the heart of the “red carpet district,” the store received “Favorite Jewelry Store” honors and lists customer referrals as its number one form of business. With their signature slogan, “real diamonds, real affordable,” the spot offers a huge selection of GIA and EGL-certified and conflict free diamonds with L.A.’s best deals at 50-75% below retail pricing daily.  As direct diamond importers, the store is able to offer deep discounts to clients without compromising quality.

Diamond and Jewelry Gallery creates designs for any budget — all for 50-75% off retail.

“We completely eliminate the middleman. I travel several times a year to scout only the best globally-sourced and conflict free stones for my customers.”

And though you may be hearing a lot about laboratory created diamonds right now, at the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, you won’t find any of these trendy diamond imposters in the showcases. Unlike real diamonds, which form over millions of years in a natural, geological process, lab-created diamonds are developed through an artificially sped-up engineering process.

“Lab-created diamonds are essentially microwave diamonds,” says Johnny N. “The mystique of a real diamond is its one-of-a-kind nature and rarity.  Each one is truly a work of art unto itself.”

Find the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery on the marquis corner of Ventura Boulevard and Whitsett at 12456 Ventura Boulevard in Studio City – and grab a spot in their courtesy parking lot out back. While you’re there, ask about their unbeatable limited time offer of a free matching wedding band with any diamond engagement ring purchase. Call 818-982-4444; or visit diamondandjewelrygallery.com.

TRENDS: Colored Stone Engagement Ring

Monday, October 1st, 2018

No matter the season – the soaring, sun-soaked skies of Summer or the brisk and oh so chilly breezes of Fall and Winter – it’s always proposal time for someone somewhere. So, today, we look at another of this year’s most popular engagement ring trends: “The Colored Stone Ring.”

Just as multi-stone, rose gold and band-like engagement rings are currently trending, fine jewelers are also experiencing growing requests for colored stones in place of the classic Diamond center stone. To follow this trend, consider choosing your birthstone as your center stone, or opt for vivid, deeply hued stones like Sapphires, Emeralds, Tourmalines or Rubies.

You can play with the colored center stone trend by choosing your favorite gem and then accenting it with Diamond halos or side stones to set off its richness and intensity. Or, you can play it a bit more safely by choosing a beautiful Diamond as your center stone and then accenting it with your birthstone or other colorful gems as side stones or a decorative halo. Fancy Yellow Diamonds are also an elegant and timeless way to try this trend.

No matter your choice for an engagement ring, the point is to find – or design – something that you truly love. With an experienced custom designer to assist you, you can confidently buck tradition knowing that your finished ring will be a beautiful masterpiece that’s just as unique as you are.

If you’re currently in the market for your dream engagement ring, consider visiting the experts at the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, voted “Favorite Jewelry Store” with 50-75% off retail pricing daily and customer referrals as their number one form of business. TRENDS: Criss-Cross Rings! Take a Look at This Hot 2018 Engagement Ring Look!

Wednesday, August 1st, 2018

Sunny, blue-hued skies, soaring temperatures and oh-so-obviously in love couples strolling along every boardwalk… It’s wedding season and time to share another one of 2018’s hottest engagement ring trends. Today, we take a look at the “Criss-Cross Ring.”

2018, criss cross ring, 2

Criss-Cross rings are having their own moment in the sun, with more and more brides-to-be opting for this fresh, modern take on the traditional engagement ring. The look works by layering, or “criss-crossing” two or more bands to create a stunning web-like base for the center stone. The Criss-Cross ring, with its eye-popping design, is a great way to showcase an amazing stone. It’s also an excellent engagement ring choice for the woman who wants something entirely different from the rings her “besties” are flashing.

What diamond cuts look the best with Criss-Cross setting? Because of the already intricate lacing of the bands, the look works best with simple round or oval cut stones. You’ll dazzle when you create your new ring with beautiful rose gold, yellow gold or platinum metals. Or, take it up a notch and dazzle with bands in eye-popping mixed metals. The Criss-Cross ring is a look that is all at once bold, sexy and daring – just like the love you are sharing!

If you’re shopping for your dream engagement ring, consider visiting the experts at the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, voted “Favorite Jewelry Store” with 50-75% off retail pricing every day and customer referrals as their number one form of business. For a limited time, the store is featuring an unbeatable special with a free matching wedding band along with every diamond engagement ring purchase. TRENDS: The East/West Setting! Look at This Hot 2018 Engagement Ring Look!

Monday, June 25th, 2018

It’s engagement season! That means that we’re once again seeing happy couples excitedly shopping for engagement rings together as well as expectant brides-to-be dropping not so subtle hints to nervous grooms from the sidelines.

One thing to remember is that an engagement ring is much more than expensive eye candy, it’s both a symbol of your commitment and an expression of your personal style. If you’re lucky enough to be engagement ring shopping right now – and adventurous enough to be looking for something different – consider trying on one of 2018’s hottest engagement ring trends. It’s called the East/West Setting – and it’s literally a new “twist” on more traditional diamond stone settings.

2018, East West Setting

With the East/West Setting, you go just a little “Feng Shui” and shake things up by flipping your diamond horizontally, so that its ends are facing out in an East/West position, instead of the more traditional North/South diamond settings. It’s unique enough to make admirers of your ring take a second and third look, but elegant enough to ensure that your ring is timeless and classic.

What diamond cuts look the best with an East/West setting? The look works best with the stunning emerald cut diamond as well as elegant oval cuts. Both look amazing when flipped onto their side; particularly when paired with a super trendy rose gold band, or the more traditional platinum, white and yellow gold options. The East/West setting is a look that is all at once romantic, timeless and different – like the love you are celebrating.

Find them at 818-982-4444; or visit diamondandjewelrygallery.com.

Make Choosing Your Wedding Band Fun, Not Frustrating!

Sunday, June 25th, 2017

louie, lady's bands, small

At the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, we see hundreds of happy and beautiful couples each month, all of them in one stage or the other of getting married. As the wedding date approaches, we see couples often balancing the joyous highs of anticipation against the weighty realities of the planning process. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by time crunches, budget and the seemingly endless errands to cross off the checklist.

One of the most important errands is the selection of the couple’s wedding bands. This selection process can sometimes be a daunting task as couples deal with the dance of his taste vs. hers. Remember this — wedding bands are wearable billboards that announce your love and lifetime commitment to the rest of the world. Choosing them should be fun – not frustrating.

The experts at the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City have a bit of advice:

CHOOSE IT: Remember, your future spouse’s band is something that he or she will wear every day. Make sure they are happy with the selected band and that the final choice is theirs – and not yours. When shopping for his or her wedding band, keep this one Golden Rule of marriage in mind: “It’s not about you.”

MISMATCH IT. Your bands don’t actually have to match. Unless this is a point that both of you have agreed upon, then don’t worry about matching your wedding bands. Instead, focus your attention on selecting or custom designing the bands that each of you would most like to wear each day. Perhaps he likes the idea of a simple yellow gold band with a matte finish, while she dreams of a Diamond eternity band set in shimmering white gold. It’s up to each of you to choose a band that reflects your personal style and respects the budget limits you’ve set.

CUSTOMIZE IT: “If you can dream it; I can make it,” says Johnny N, the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery’s lead designer. Whether you want engraving, a birthstone added, a mix of finishes and metals, or any other detail, even a simple wedding band can be customized. “We had one customer request Celtic symbols be etched onto the outside of her future spouse’s band,” he says. “Even though her fiancé was not really a jewelry guy, he ended up loving the piece and not wanting to take the ring off.”

ASK FOR IT: Because we know that every dollar and every penny matters when you are planning a wedding, at the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, we offer couples a discount that allows them to save even more on our already 50-75% below retail prices. Buy your rings together, on the same day, and we’ll give you a special package deal price. If we don’t mention it, ask for it.

PROTECT IT: On your BIG DAY, every little detail matters. Plan to have your rings steamed a week or so before the ceremony and then keep them under wraps until the wedding. This ensures a fresh pop and sparkle will be apparent as you present the rings to one another and take your commemorative photos. The Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City offers free cleanings and maintenance for the lifetime of your piece– an invaluable service to our clients.

Visit us at today and ask about our Weekly Specials. You’ll find us in the heart of Studio City’s beautiful red carpet district at 12456 Ventura Boulevard. For info, call 818-982-4444, or diamondandjewelrygallery.com. “Your forever starts here.”

How-To Propose With Custom-Made Confidence!

Sunday, March 5th, 2017

halo-border2

Since the perfect proposal begins with the perfect ring, the fear of choosing the wrong engagement ring can be debilitating. While you may find the exact engagement ring that you’re looking for displayed in a showcase, opt for custom design if you want to have a surefire confidence that your intended will love the ring you present! With custom design, you’re more in control of both the original concept as well as the finished product. It’s also a way to ensure that the ring you present reflects the uniqueness of your loved one and the bond you share together.

GET THE DETAILS: Having an idea of what your intended likes ensures that you create a ring that will be pleasing no matter your budget range. Have you been given any hints about the diamond shape, setting, metal type and carat size that would make the perfect ring? If so, listen; because you are now equipped with one of the most important “Honey-Do” lists you will ever have.

Knowing what you want will also make your meeting with a jeweler more productive. It’s not absolutely necessary, but, if possible, bring in a picture or drawing of your desired ring. Remember what they say: “A picture is worth a thousand words.”Because the ultimate goal is to create a ring that she loves, other than getting a “No” when you pop-the-question, there’s nothing quite as bad for you and for her as presenting a bad ring that will never get worn.

GET THE LANGUAGE DOWN: Before beginning your engagement ring journey, be sure to familiarize yourself with the “Four C-s”(Carat, Cut, Color and Clarity). These are the absolute diamond basics that every shopper should know. Set aside a bit of time to do your “Four C’s” research BEFORE heading out to make your ring purchase. And, consider this; there’s also a “Fifth C” Coined by the experts at the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, the “Fifth C” stands for Cost. Here’s where that comes in…

GET THE BEST FOR YOUR BUDGET: Cost will naturally be more of an issue for some than others. If budget and cost figure very heavily into your plan, then consider opting for a higher quality diamond that may be smaller in carat size but is of a higher quality. You can always up-size the diamond later; and, a quality diamond will be worth more when you’re ready to trade up. An expert jeweler can advise you on choosing the highest quality diamond that fits within your budget range. Another good idea – whether or not you have budget constraints – is to work with a jeweler who is also a direct diamond importer. Doing this ensures that you are not paying extra money for the scouting services of a middleman.

GET TO KNOW A DIAMOND GUY: The engagement ring purchase is one of the most important investments you will make. Choosing the right jeweler will make all the difference in the impact that your ring will have. The right jeweler will not only help you to create the best and highest quality ring for the budget that you indicate, but, also, he or she will include you in every step of the design process – even presenting you with a wax model of your desired ring before setting the stones or casting it in the metal of your choice. This “no-surprises” step in the custom design process ensures your satisfaction with the final outcome of the ring – thus boosting your pre-proposal confidence.

One smart and highly-reviewed choice is the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, voted “Favorite Jewelry Store” by the L.A. Daily News. In business as direct diamond importers for more than 40 years, and with customer referrals as their number one form of business, they offer one of L.A’s largest selections of certified EGL and GIA diamonds with discounts at 50-75% below retail daily.

Known as the “engagement ring superstore,” the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City’s showcases offer you 1000s of stunning choices. Plus, the store specializes in custom designed rings and is also the exclusive home of the Johnny N Signature Designer Line. Most importantly, they’ve developed a reputation for walking their customers through the step-by-step process of creating the perfect engagement ring at prices affordable to every budget. You’ll find them in the heart of Studio City’s beautiful red carpet district at 12456 Ventura Boulevard (corner of Ventura and Whitsett). For info, contact them at 818-982-4444, or diamondandjewelrygallery.com.

The Ultimate Engagement Ring Checklist

By TLO

Preparing for a proposal can be a nail biting experience; especially when it comes to selecting the much anticipated engagement ring. Since the perfect proposal begins with the perfect ring, you can avoid some of the pressure by getting a plan together. Here’s the “Ultimate Engagement Ring Checklist” to get you started…

#1. GET AN IDEA: Have you been given any hints about the diamond shape, metal and carat size that would make the perfect ring? If so, listen; because you are now equipped with one of the most important “Honey-Do” lists you will ever have. Having an idea of what your intended likes ensures that you purchase a ring that will be pleasing no matter you budget range. It also makes your meeting with a jeweler more productive. You may also want to ask close friends or family members if they have any ideas about the type of ring desired. It’s not absolutely necessary, but, if possible, bring a picture or drawing of your desired ring. Remember what they say: “A picture is worth a thousand words.” A good one may also save you a thousand headaches if it helps you avoid giving a ring that never gets worn.

#2. GET THE 411: Familiarize yourself with the “Four C-s,” the diamond basics every engagement ring shopper should know below.

-Carat: The “carat” refers to the actual weight and dimensions of an individual diamond. Simply put, a carat speaks to how “big” the diamond is. Each individual diamond, depending on its cut, color, and clarity, will be priced differently per carat. For example, a smaller stone of higher quality may cost the same as a bigger stone of lesser quality.

-Cut: The cut refers to – not to the shape of the diamond – but to how the diamond is trimmed and formed from within its original shape. The cut determines the dazzle and brilliance your diamond. When cut properly, your diamond will sparkle and shine for a lifetime. There are many traditional cut diamonds, with round brilliant most popular one. Other basic cuts are Pear, Princess, Heart, Oval, Marquise, and Emerald.

-Color: Diamond “color” refers to the actual tint within the color of the diamond. Colors come in a range of beautiful options, from “colorless” and “near colorless” to what are termed as “fancy color” diamonds. Color is determined along a “D” to “Z” tint range. The often sought after “colorless” diamonds start the scale at “D;” and “Z” diamonds indicate a pale yellow or brown tint. Colorless diamonds are often the most desired and are on the higher end of the price scale.

-Clarity: A diamond with a lesser degree of flaws will be more valuable than one with more obvious imperfections. If the flaws (or inclusions) are difficult to locate, the stones are graded VS , which stands for very slight inclusions. If they are easy to locate under magnification, the stone is graded SI clarity or slight inclusions.

Did you know there is also a Fifth C?” Coined by the experts at the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, the “Fifth C” stands for cost. And, here’s where that comes in…

#3. GET A BUDGET: Size matters if budget and cost figure very heavily into your plan. If that’s the case, opt for a higher quality diamond that may be smaller in carat size but is of a higher quality when it comes to the clarity and color. You can always upsize the diamond later and it will be worth more when the time comes to sell it or trade it in toward a larger diamond. An expert jeweler can advise you on choosing the highest quality diamond within your budget range.

#4. GET THE DETAILS: Paying attention to details will make all the difference in the ultimate look of your ring.

-Metals: The most popular choices are white gold, yellow gold or platinum. Currently white gold and platinum are the most popular, but rose gold is trending, quickly becoming a favorite choice for many. When in doubt, ask; or pay attention to the other jewelry your intended wears most often and choose the metal in accordance with that.

-Settings: Almost every engagement ring you find features some variation of two popular settings to hold the center stone in place. The most common setting is the prong setting, which uses thin metal prongs that move from the ring base to the top edges of the diamond center stone to hold it in place. Another popular one is the bezel setting, which safely encircles the center stone in a metal rim. Choosing between the two – or from the many other setting options – will determine the look and profile of your ring.

-Side Stones or Halo: Side stones refer to the smaller diamonds situated on either side of your center stone. Popular choices are 3-stone and 5-stone rings. A Halo is an accentuating row or “halo” of small diamonds that surround your selected center stone. Rings with halo detailing can make your selected center stone seem much larger.

Lastly – and this one has everything to do with the experience you will have…

#5. GET A DIAMOND GUY: Buy your ring from a trusted and reputable jeweler with a proven track record for excellence. Read reviews, see what others are saying about their shopping experience. Work with a jeweler who is also a direct diamond importer which ensures that you are not paying extra money for the scouting services of a middleman. No matter what your budget, the engagement ring purchase is one of the most important investments you will make. Choosing the right jeweler, or “diamond guy” will make all the difference in the impact that your ring will have when you present it.

The smart and highly-reviewed choice is the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City, voted “Favorite Jewelry Store” by the L.A. Daily News. In business as direct diamond importers for more than 40 years, and with customer referrals as their number one form of business, they offer one of L.A’s largest selections of certified EGL and GIA diamonds with discounts often at 50-75% below retail. Known as the “engagement ring superstore,” the Diamond and Jewelry Gallery Studio City showcases offer 1000s of stunning choices. The store specializes in custom designed rings and is also the exclusive home of the Johnny N Signature Designer Line of engagement rings and fine jewelry. Most importantly, they’ve developed a reputation for walking their customers through the step-by-step process of creating the perfect engagement ring at the most affordable price. You’ll find them in the heart of Studio City’s beautiful red carpet district at 12456 Ventura Blvd. For info, contact them at 818-982-4444, or diamondandjewlerygallery.com. Watch the video from a recent engagement ring shopper who visited their store.

#6. GET THE “YES!” With this “Ultimate Engagement Ring Checklist,” you’re well equipped to create a dream engagement ring. Now, all you’ve got to do is come up with a brilliant plan for a proposal that gets you the “YES” and goes viral when you release your social media video. No pressure at all. -TLO
